David Casey, Director of UCT’s Career Service kindly gave up some time this week to chat to me about the challenge of developing career-mindedness among large numbers of students – with limited Career Service resources. The UCT Careers Service office are extremely focused in their mission to “support the career development learning of UCT students enabling them to realise their potential and contribute meaningfully to the communities in which they work and live” and have implemented a number of successful initiatives to achieve this. In this article I will share David’s insights with you.
